Providence lost a cop, a mother, and a neighbor over the weekend. Sad. 27-year vet gunned down at the Providence Police Headquarters Mother and neighbor killed on Osbourne Street. A very difficult weekend for Providence and the families indeed.

I saw the uproar caused by the defendants family in court yesterday. She was screaming, and alleging "police brutality" after seeing his severly bruised, and cut up face. If im not mistaken that guy shot a cop and stabbed a women!!! He is lucky to be alive. Think of the family that has lost their father, and a day later you are defending a double murderer. Rediculous.
The man is fortunate to be alive. He shot a cop. The cops probably could assume he still had the weapon and he's alive and walking to talk about it.
I commend the Providence Police Department on both their resolve to catch this man and the restraint the surely used in his capture.
